Online instructors - TOPPS May 7-11

The UTLC is hosting a week of workshops aimed at online faculty members May 7-11th. The event is called TOPPS - Transforming Online Pedagogy and Practice Symposium.

Faculty members are learning about this event in the Thursday newsletter, but I wanted to give the ITCs an early heads up to promote this event to your online faculty members. 

Our keynote speaker for Tuesday and Wednesday is Michelle Miller, author of Minds Online

Key information
  • Monday - Wednesday - on-campus events
  • Thursday-Friday - online events (Summer classes start on Thursday.)
  • Mornings consist of one event for everyone. 
  • Afternoons consist of sessions that allow faculty members to choose one that best fits their needs. 
  • Participants who register for both the morning and afternoon sessions on the same day will be served lunch.  
Note that the library will be hosting three sessions:
Tuesday, May 8th 1:30-3:30pm Using Library Resources in Online Teaching
Thursday, May 10th 10-10:30am Library Resources in Canvas: embedding, linking, and more! (Virtual WebEx Session)
Friday, May 11th 10-1030am Zotero: Citation Management (Virtual WebEx Session)
